With the extruder mounted it's time to get the printer bed ready. The lower bed is mounted to the bearings of the x-axis and the x-axis drive belt
I've cut this to match the glass plate which will be right at the top of the stack.
Mounted over this is the spring bed. This has adjustable spring posts to allow the bed to be levelled against the Y-axis.

I bought a pack of printer bed springs which came with bolts and these thumbwheel nuts.
Sadly the thumbwheels are too big to fit under the bed I've built. But I have been able to crak out the brass thread and insert it into my own knob, which fits perfectly.
