The crossover joint where the X axis meets the supports for the z-axis needs to be at exactly 90°. To do this I have had to design and 3-D print crossover joint pieces to hold the bars in the right place.
The design has gone through a series of changes from a block with two holes at 90° right up to a Y shaped piece of which I am particularly proud. This has extended my skills using Solidworks, Where I have been able to accurately align 3-D models in virtual space to make sure I get the dimensions very accurate.
