The estuary is an impressive sight; a wide flat stretch of water with occasional boats interrupting the view to New Holland on the southern shore. I am at a loss to think of a Gouda joke at this point. So I shall take a photo and say “Cheese”.

I was delighted to discover that the camera on my phone is good enough to handle good quality photos of the fish, even in these low-light conditions. My dear departed dad would have found this an absolute marvel, and it’s a shame he never lived to see photography become as simple as it is today.
I had lots of fun taking video recordings of interesting fish. Being persistently juvenile, I have edited these together to create a nonsense video of what I imagine the creatures are saying.

Once you have recovered from the parking fee and negotiated entry, and the toilet facilities, you are provided with a lift to the third floor where the visit really starts.
Colourful fish are always entertaining, and there are many, many tanks of these to see, from tiny tropical Gourami, right up to pelagic shark and sawfish.
